ESPN.com, careerexperience.com Create Sports Career Site

ESPN.com and careerexperience.com are teaming up to launch "Careers in Sports," an online sports career site.

The site will be promoted by ESPN.com through an online/offline brand building program, including a pop-up question banner ad program on ESPN.com, ABCNEWS.com, NFL.com, and NBA.com, and print advertisements in ESPN The Magazine through 1999. Spending plans were not disclosed.

The "Careers in Sports" section features profiles and interviews, as well as features to help people determine if their skills and characteristics are suited to a career in the sports industry. Additionally, online users can access one-on-one career counseling.

"With the launch of Careers in Sports with ESPN.com, we have added considerably to careerexperience.com's ultimate career site," said careerexperience CEO Dan Steneker. "Our partnership with ESPN gives online users access to the key players in the sports industry. Their professional insights will help make our visitors' dream sports careers a reality."

The site also will offer networking opportunities, and access to the Monster.com job listing site.
