Engage Integrates Profiling Technology With Microsoft Site Server 3.0

Engage Technologies said it will integrate its Precision Profiling technology into Microsoft Site Server 3.0.
The initial software extension will provide an advanced level of personalization for Microsoft Site Server 3.0 and allow customers to use behavior-based visitor profiles from Engage Knowledge, a Webwide database containing over 30 million anonymous user profiles.
Further integration efforts are planned to enable Site Server customers to use Engage Precision Profiling technology to complement local behavior profiles and combine them with the global profiles from Engage Knowledge, the companies said. Financial arrangements were not disclosed.
As a result of this integration effort, sites will be able to serve highly targeted banner ads, relevant online coupon offers, and/or personalized content based on global profiles containing previous clickstream behavior, Engage said.
Planet Direct is the first joint customer testing the integration.

"Enabling one-to-one marketing with Site Server is a task that required close coordination and communication between our developers and Microsoft. We are pleased to support the Site Server platform and in turn, extend the personalization options available to joint customers such as Planet Direct."
Separately, Engage announced a strategic alliance involving collaborative product development and cooperative sales and marketing initiatives with net.Genesis Corp.
net.Genesis will extend its e-business intelligence solution by integrating and reselling Engage ProfileServer with its net.Analysis software. With this integration, net.Analysis will offer reporting and analysis capabilities cross-referenced against the Engage Knowledge database.
net.Analysis is an open-systems software solution that enables business and technical mangers to understand online customer behavior in a business context. It features analysis tools, hundreds of standard reports and a drill- down capability that lets users answer previously unanticipated business questions.
