John Federman Named CEO For ADSmart Network

ADSmart, an Internet advertising network and subsidiary of CMGI, named John Federman, publisher of PC Week, as its chief executive officer.
"John brings a wealth of advertising and general management experience to the CEO position," said David Wetherell, CEO of CMGI. "His extensive background in high-tech publishing and advertising sales, as well as his proven leadership capabilities, form an ideal framework to lead ADSmart as it takes on the premier advertising networks on the Internet."
While at Ziff-Davis's PC Week, Federman was responsible for managing all aspects of the publication's operations. Ziff-Davis veteran Peter Longo was named to replace Federman.
"I'm excited to be joining ADSmart and contributing to the success of the company, driving further growth of its quality affinity group sites and powerful targeting technologies," said Federman. "We will continue to build the company into a major ad management network."
The ADSmart Network is comprised of more than 35 Web sites and 8 million Web users, and offers various affinity networks, including Generation-X, College, Sports, Travel, Technology and Finance/Investing.
