Razorfish Acquires London-based Sunbather

Razorfish reportedly has acquired London- based Sunbather to accommodate the growth of its London operations. The company specializes in helping organizations manage digital change.

"Sunbather is totally a hot shop and we had our eye on them for a while, and thought they would make an excellent addition to an already talented group in London," Razorfish CEO Jeff Dachis told the Silicon Alley Reporter. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Founded in early 1995, Sunbather has produced online services, interactive TV trials, Web sites, CD-ROMs and traditional print designs. Clients include Shell Oil and the BBC.

Mike Bennett, managing and creative director of Sunbather, was quoted as saying Sunbather had been looking to become part of an operation with a broader global interest. "We talked to a number of new media companies and Razorfish was the most complementary fit," he said.

Currently known as CHBI Razorfish, the London office will be known as Razorfish by January, according to the terms of Razorfish's partnership with CHBI signed in May.
