Andromedia Says 4Q Revenues Up 200%

San Francisco-based Andromedia Inc., a supplier of what it calls Smart eMarketing solutions, said revenues for the fourth quarter ending Dec. 31 were up 200 percent from the previous quarter, marking the best quarter in the company's history.
For the year Andromedia said it increased revenues more than 500 percent over the previous year. The privately held company does not disclose full financial details.
The company said major new customers adopting Andromedia's real-time Web site activity analysis solution ARIA and its LikeMinds patented personalization technology include Excite, The Motley Fool, The Weather Channel, Levi Strauss & Company, BigStar Entertainment, Internet Gift Registry, and USInternetworking.
"The e-commerce market is growing at more than 100 percent annually," said Kent Godfrey, Andromedia CEO. "Such growth will continue to fuel a rapidly expanding base of blue-chip customers who require site analysis and personalization solutions to embed into their e-commerce infrastructure. With more than 100 customers representing some of the largest sites on the Web, Andromedia has achieved the momentum necessary to fully capitalize on the tremendous opportunity presented by the hyper-growth personalization market in 1999."
