PowerAdz.com said that its CarCast Internet solution for creating locally branded, online automobile buying services, now powers the Web sites of The Omaha World Herald, The Buffalo Evening News and The Bergen Record newspapers.
Five additional newspapers from the Freedom Communications Group have also adopted CarCast, led by the group's flagship newspaper, The Orange County Register.
"CarCast offers newspapers the means to launch and sustain a competitive, cost-effective, online automobile buying service," said Kurt Lozier, vice president of strategic market programs for PowerAdz.com. "Its powerful, consumer-friendly technology that's easy to maintain and promotes the newspaper's and dealer's brand name investments."
The newest CarCast members have expressed a commitment to promote the new venture to consumers, in print and online. Participating auto dealers will have access to CarCast technology that can be plugged-in to their existing Web sites or used to build state of the art dealership sites.
Founded in 1996, PowerAdz.com markets its services to newspaper companies using the AdQuest3D, CarCast, AuctionHill, ThinkHomes and CareerGold Internet brands.
