Alloy Online, Excite@Home Sign Cross-Marketing Pact

Generation Y e-commerce site Alloy Online Inc. signed an advertising and promotion agreement with Excite@Home.

Alloy ads will appear on teen areas on the Excite and Webcrawler.com sites, including Teen Chat, Movies and Music areas within the Entertainment channels, as well as on the Excite and Webcrawler shopping channels. Financial arrangements were not disclosed.

In turn, Alloy will provide Excite@Home with advertising and promotion on its site, in the Alloy catalog and in Alloy E-Zine, the company's twice-weekly electronic magazine. In addition, Alloy Online will be a preferred teen content provider for the clothes department of the Excite.com Shopping channel.

Alloy Online is a direct marketer providing community, content and commerce to Generation Y. Boys and girls can interact, share information, explore relevant content and shop for apparel, accessories, footwear, music, cosmetics, and magazine subscriptions.

"Alloy will leverage Excite@Home's global presence to reach new users, while at the same time, Exite@Home will be able to offer its Generation Y users exciting new content and shopping opportunities," said Matthew C. Diamond, chairman and chief executive officer of Alloy.
