Sun Microsystems to Use AdForce for Centralized Ad Serving

Outsourced ad management and delivery company AdForce Inc. signed an agreement with Sun Microsystems, which will use Desktop AdForce 3.0 to plan and schedule targeted ad campaigns, manage inventory, deliver ads and measure effectiveness.

Financial arrangements were not disclosed.

AdForce is in the process of being acquired by CMGI Inc.

"AdForce is an all-inclusive service for industry giants such as Sun Microsystems," said Chuck Berger, CEO of AdForce.

"AdForce's technology infrastructure allows Sun to run its core business and not worry about their online advertising. Our centralized system can handle Sun's rapidly growing volume."

"To keep our industry position strong and forward-looking, we are constantly deploying new campaigns to better serve our customers and partners," said Garry Hornbuckle, director of market development and developer relations program operations at Sun Microsystems.

"To meet the demands of our customers and minimize our time spent on the backend, we decided to use AdForce's centralized ad serving solution."
