Net-mercial.com Debuts Audio/Video Online Ad Solution

Interstitial ad technology company Net-mercial.com delivered its flagship product, Audio/Video Net-mercials.

Audio/Video Net-mercials are fast-loading transitional online advertising solutions that allow consumer interactivity with ads without the need for plug-ins, the company said.

Occupying the interstitial and intrastitial spaces that occur as a Web page loads, Audio/Video Net-mercials use streaming technology that allows ads to be viewed as videos. Each Audio/Video Net-mercial is remotely served and can be used by advertisers to target a specific demographic audience.

Audio/Video Net-mercials are an addition to Net-mercial.com's existing online advertising products, and are displayed inside a window with a black TV-like frame that draws a user's eye to the ad.

A discreet timer informs users that the ad is temporary and will expire after a certain number of seconds or when the Web site loads.

A consumer can choose, through a series of button bars on the frame to play, pause, request more information, print or exit the Audio/Video Net-mercial.

"Audio/Video Net-mercials provide a new revenue source for advertisers without interfering with the aesthetics of a Web site," said Net-mercial.com's CEO, David Lamb.

Complementing Audio/Video Net-mercials, Net-mercial.com offers three other types of interstitials, including static, animated and animated with audio.
