E-mail marketing agency Quris has appointed Alicia Smith Kriese to its board of directors. Smith Kriese, senior VP and group account director of GSD&M, has developed positioning for Wal-Mart, Pennzoil and Fannie Mae and currently drives business strategy and idea generation for the Dial Corporation, SAM'S Club, Charles Schwab and CyberTrader.

"Alicia's extensive advertising experience with highly successful consumer brands will help us ensure that email is further integrated into the Fortune 1000 strategic marketing mix," said John Funk, CEO of Quris. "She looks at the world with an eye to the end customer."

EmailLabs picked up 46 clients during the first three months of 2003. Key client wins include Agilent, Nokia, NEC Mitsubishi, Jupitermedia (this Web site's parent corporation), Diebold, Four Seasons Resorts, Bell Microproducts and Oceana Cruises. The company also saw strong growth in its private-label solutions, with 15 marketing agencies and other resellers selecting EmailLabs as their preferred solution in the first quarter.

Online ad rep firm Interep Interactive has closed a deal to represent three A&E Television Network Web sites: Biography.com, HistoryChannel.com and A&E's flagship, AETV.com.

"Our Web audiences are fiercely loyal as evidenced by consistently heavy traffic and by hundreds of thousands of e-mail subscribers," said William Jennings, VP of interactive sales for A&E Television Networks. "We expect Interep Interactive to help us monitize that loyalty by helping national advertisers understand the values of being associated with our online audience."

Lois Paul & Partners has picked up four new clients. They include Cognio, a Natick, Mass.-based developer of wireless products; Cognos, a Canadian enterprise software developer; Danvers, Mass.-based Copyright Clearance Center; and Entigo, based in Malvern, Pa., a creator of warranty chain management tools.

Tech-focused PR firm Springboard is now agency of record for FaxCore Corporation, a provider of fax server automation solutions. Through its "Jumpstart" program, Springboard will work with FaxCore to launch its new FaxCore 4300 fax server software, as well as develop a series of marketing programs to recruit channel partners.
