Harris Interactive Wins Olympics Client

Market research company Harris Interactive signed an agreement with Olympic Properties of the United States (OPUS) to become the exclusive supplier of market research services.

The company will supply research, including Internet research, for the United States Olympic Committee (USOC) and the Salt Lake Organizing Committee (SLOC) through Dec. 31, 2004.

Financial terms were not disclosed.

Harris Interactive will be linked to the USOC and SLOC Web sites, enabling the company to grow its online database of respondents for research purposes.

Harris Interactive also will structure a series of polls for the USOC and SLOC Web sites, as well as perform other proprietary market research for the organizations.

"We are honored to be recognized as the exclusive market research supplier to the USOC and feel that the agreement emphasizes the value of Harris Interactive's research services and , in particular, its industry-leading Internet capabilities," said Gordon S. Black, chairman and chief executive officer of Harris Interactive.

Harris Interactive, with an Internet database of over 4.2 million cooperative respondents, conducts political, business-to-business and business-to-consumer online and traditional research.
