FastWeb, an online resource center for students, Wednesday inked a deal with 24/7 Media, for the advertising company to manage FastWeb's opt-in e-mail lists.

"This relationship adds an exciting new dimension to the student experience at FastWeb."

24/7 Mail, the company's e-mail marketing division will manage FastWeb's e-mail address lists, while helping it expand its customer base and get the most out of the lists. 24/7 will also handle the company's targeted newsletters and e-mail notifications.

FastWeb provides students with resources aimed at helping them through all phases of their college career from finding a school, to paying for it, to finding a job when they graduate.

As part of the deal, FastWeb will give 24/7 access to its database of students, which it says is one of the largest available on the Web.

"The quality and size of their database are unmatched on the Web," said Michael Rowsom, senior vice president at 24/7 Media. (TFSM) "We expect that FastWeb could become one of our largest list providers."
