Imandi.com Selects Crispin Porter & Bogusky as AOR

Reverse marketplace imandi.com on Tuesday made its pick for advertising agency of record, choosing Crispin Porter + Bogusky.

The company last month said it had narrowed its search to four agencies -- Dailey and Associates, Crispin Porter + Bogusky, Cole and Weber, and Moses Anshell.

In explaining its choice, imandi.com cited CP+B's work on an anti-smoking campaign for Florida and its ads featuring Latrell Sprewell for the AND1 basketball line.

"They demonstrated tremendous skill at creating provocative advertising -- advertising that 'picks the right fights'," says Blake Park, imandi.com VP of marketing.

"We need to pick a fight with the status quo, and we think CP+B, with its top-notch creative talent and feisty spirit, will craft a message that cuts through the clutter while simultaneously remaining relevant to what we are about," explains Raghav Kher, imandi.com president and CEO.

Imandi.com, a site on which customers ask for what they want and merchants try to fill their needs, was founded in 1998 by Kher and his fellow Microsoft alumnus, Eric Johnson.

The company in July launched its first consumer online advertising campaign, created with Adhesive Media.
