Sippl has more than 20 years of senior operations, technology and chief executive experience working with leading software companies.

He is presently a principal in Sippl Macdonald Ventures, a venture capital firm that recently participated in Andromedia's latest round of equity financing.

In 1993, Sippl founded Visigenic Software, which he took public in 1996 and sold it to Borland (now Inprise) in March of 1998. In 1990, along with Steve Goldworthy, Sippl co-founded Vantive Corp. of Mountain View, CA, a customer service automation software vendor.
