Instant Video Technologies Inc. in San Francisco signed Asylum as its advertising agency in preparation for the commercial launch of Burstware, described as a "faster-than-real- time" video delivery software.
Founded in June 1995, Asylum is led by creative partners Mark Decena and Tim Breitbach, formerly of Anderson, Lembke. Estimated billings were not disclosed.
"Burstware has the potential to shake up every industry that relies on full- motion video today," said Tim Breitbach. "It is exciting to be positioning a product today that will define video delivery for tomorrow."
Other Asylum clients include Levi Strauss & Co.'s Dockers brand, Cineste, a Hollywood special effects company, John Muir/Mt. Diablo Health System and Sportogo.
Instant Video said its Burstware software suite delivers high-quality, full-screen, 30-frames-per-second video and CD sound over networks.
