R. H. Donnelley Corp., the largest independent marketer of Yellow Pages advertising in the U.S. and an up and coming new media player, will separate from Dun & Bradstreet and become listed on the New York Stock Exchange on Wednesday, July 1.
Donnelley, headquartered in Purchase, NY, sells more than $1 billion in Yellow Pages advertising a year, or nearly 10% of total Yellow Pages advertising in the U.S.
RHD said it publishes or is sales agent for more than 275 directories, with a total circulation of more than 30 million copies. The company said it has long-term relationships with Ameritech, Bell Atlantic and Sprint, which generate the majority of its $124 million in operating income.
The company also is aggressively developing opportunities in new media, including the Internet, audiotex and cable TV.
