Stephen Zarrilli Named CEO of US Interactive

Internet services company US Interactive Inc. said that Stephen Zarrilli has been appointed chief executive officer of the firm.

Zarrilli, 37, one of the company's original employees, had previously been the company's chief financial and administrative officer. He succeeds Larry W. Smith.

Smith, who resigned his position as CEO March 1, remains a significant shareholder and will continue to serve on US Interactive's Board of Directors.

"Steve has played an integral part in our growth over the last few years," said Eric Pulier, chairman and co-founder of US Interactive. "His proven experience and management skills will enable US Interactive to fully realize our vision of becoming the most significant Internet Professional Services firm in the world."

Zarrilli joined US Interactive as one of the company's original employees in January 1995 after 11 years with Deloitte & Touche, where he was directly responsible for the creation of the firm's Emerging Business practice in Philadelphia, PA. Zarrilli gained significant entrepreneurial experience prior to joining US Interactive, as the director of finance for American Gaming Corp.

Zarrilli was instrumental in the formation of the new US Interactive, the current company formed through a merger-of-equals with Digital Evolution Inc. in 1998.
