Adaptive Planning announced that version 6.0 of its eponymous business process management (BPM)
The news comes as analysts such as Gartner are predicting that there will be no recovery in 2009. Companies therefore need to track every dollar.
The Adaptive Planning 6.0 upgrade is available for free to existing companies. Adaptive Planning is priced based on the number of two kinds of users: those who enter the data and those who simply read and review it. Pricing was not disclosed. The company said that pricing is targeted at mid-sized enterprises.
Companies have struggled with integration projects for years, so this automated SaaS-based approach has the potential to really change the game for NetSuite and Adaptive Planning customers, said Robert D. Kugel, \entana Research senior vice president, in a statement.
The goal of the new product is to ensure that everyone who should be using planning software is able to do so. "With 6.0, we are making it simple for business users without IT skills to create and use sophisticated multi-dimensional financial planning models and to establish seamless integration with NetSuite," said William A. Soward, CEO of Adaptive Planning, in a statement.
