In keeping with the increasing trend of consolidation and partnerships within the management services provider (MSP) sector, Bedford, Mass.-based InteQ Corp. yesterday announced that it has entered into a partnership with Freshwater Software, a wholly owned subsidiary of Mercury Interactive.
Under terms of the partnership, Freshwater Software says that it will use InteQ's service-delivery platform for its Global SiteReliance service. InteQ's infrastructure monitoring and management services are based on the IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL) best practices and are designed to augment internal 24x7 operations and reduce costs.
InteQ will expand its service offerings to include Freshwater Software's SiteScope Web monitoring system with the goal of providing a new level of Web-monitoring services to its customers.
"In today's economy, the importance of minimizing the cost of running a 24x7 operation is paramount," said Maureen Ellenberger, CEO of InteQ. "We are confident that embedding SiteScope into our management platform will enable us to provide the highest level of service to our customers."
"We have chosen to partner with InteQ, given the company's proven experience with ITIL best practices and processes for managing 24x7 operations," said Diane Hagglund, director of product marketing for Freshwater Software. "By leveraging InteQ's delivery platform, Freshwater is able to offer effective problem response services to our customers."
Freshwater Software and InteQ report that they will jointly sell and market their services to further expand their shared customer base.
