Miva Launches New Payment Service

Miva Corp., a Web-based independent software vendor (ISV) that specializes in e-commerce services, today announced a new payment gateway service. Miva Payment is designed to simplify the process of setting up and processing credit card payments on the Internet.

The service, according to the San Diego-based Miva, was built to its specifications by CyberSource , a Mountain View, Calif.-based electronic payment service provider.

Miva Payment is designed to integrate with Miva's electronic storefront solution, Miva Merchant, and will be the default payment selection, offering merchants gateway registration, implementation and management from the Miva Merchant interface.

The underlying CyberSource service, according to Miva, also offers flexibility in processor and payment service selection.

"Miva Payment nicely complements the growing Miva line of services and brings us a major step closer to our goal of leveraging our services products with marketing and financial offerings," said Joe Austin, Miva CEO. "All of our services are designed to make Miva Merchant users more successful. As they succeed, so do we."

Miva's online platform is aimed at small to medium sized enterprises and consists of software, services and a partner network assembled to enhance on-line businesses. Miva is listed by ASPnews as a Top 30 Service Enabler.
