Corio and SAP Join Forces

Corio Inc. yesterday became the first ASP certified to offer SAP Accelerated Internet Selling through mySAP.com when the two companies announced a strategic partnership.
The new hosted offering integrates Web storefronts and enterprise resource planning applications to create a complete selling solution from front to back office in just weeks. The combination of mySAP.com and Corio's hosted model will accelerate a business' timeline for becoming productive with Internet business.
Inter-enterprise software solutions provider SAP America hopes to leverage its strength in industry-focused business software through its partnership with Corio. mySAP.com provides an open collaborative business environment of personalized solutions on demand, enabling companies to fully engage their employees, customers and partners to capitalize on the new Internet economy.
"Time to market is of the essence here," said Laurent Pacalan, vice president business development,Corio. "This partnership with SAP(SAP)expands our portfolio and broadens the choices we offer to customers."
"Our main goal is to provide our customers with what they need at the right time," said Pacalan. "We can now expand from brick & mortar to click & mortar and create a space on the Web for these businesses."
So how will this affect Corio's partnership with enterprise application software provider PeopleSoft? "Our relationship with PeopleSoft is very strong," Pacalan told ASP-News. "We most likely will not switch current PeopleSoft customers to SAP. SAP is more for companies that need heavy manufacturing capabilities."
Pacalan stated that the company intends to grow quickly this year and have the ability to pair up with other ISVs within the next 18 months. In addition to PeopleSoft and SAP America, Corio works with C1 and ChangePoint.
