NetLedger Stays in the News, Launches Consolidated Data Center

Claiming to deliver the world's first Web-based accounting solutions to small businesses, NetLedger yesterday afternoon announced the launch of a new, consolidated Data Center, establishing the company as the largest Linux installation of Oracle worldwide.

"None of the other ASPs in this space have a data center architected like this," Dave Durkee, chief information officer, said. "We really have some groundbreaking technology here."

The Data Center offers increased capacity, more power, enhanced scalability and superior reliability. The Data Center's platform is built on three breakthrough technologies: VA Linux Systems (LNUX) , Network Appliance Inc (NTAP) and Rainbow Technologies (RNBO).

According to a company release, NetLedger selected the three technologies to build the most secure and reliable infrastructure offered by any small business ASP. In addition to supporting current and future customer growth, as well as the company's numerous distribution partnerships, the new Data Center is a milestone for NetLedger in the small business ASP industry.

"The launch of the Data Center will enable us to respond to users' needs and to have a much higher service agreement with them," Durkee said. "We are now positioned to become the gateway for an unlimited number of small businesses."

The company currently has several thousand clients accessing its three accounting services--basic, personal and plus.
