iTrain & ePanacea to Merge

ASP aggregator ePanacea and real-time online software application training development and delivery resource iTrain yesterday announced a merger.

According to the companies, the combined structure will maintain the ePanacea name and its corporate headquarters will be in Atlanta, GA. Additional terms of the merger were not released.

ePanacea is preparing for a live launch next month and believes it has created a unique business niche within the ASP market>the practice of online leasing and maintenance of software applications to businesses looking to hone in on costs related to the maintenance of IT budgets.

Matthew Rosenhaft, ePanacea president and chief executive officer, said iTrain is a recognized leader and one of the pioneers in desktop sharing technology and real-time support.

"training and technical support remains one of the greatest impediments for businesses covering ASP," he said. "With this merger agreement. We've helped address that concern and fill that need."

iTrain (Austin, TX) offers classes designed for completion in less than two hours, and developed to cover topics in a compact format. Licensed professionals administer the company's application support and are certified in those applications.

"With ePanacea, we have a like-minded partner uniquely poised to deliver a customer base which embraces and depends on the efficiencies created by online access to business tools and services," Shannon Lear Martin, president and founder, iTrain, said.

According to ePanacea, the company is at stage three of its four-phase launch. The third portion will be wrapped up as initial rounds of venture capital funding are complete. The company plans to announce next month the final component dealing with securing channel partners.

The first phase of ePanacea's launch was its partnership with ASP portal site Web Harbor.
