Systemsfusion Secures $9 Million

Management software and aggregation services provider Systemsfusion secured $9 million in its second round of funding.
This round, led by InVenture, Inc. (Switzerland), will serve as a useful boost to help the company keep pace with all the demand from ISPs fro ASP-enabling infrastructure.
"The size of this round and the lead taken by InVenture are a strong vote of confidence in the powerful contribution that Systemsfusion`s technology can make in turning the ASP model into a fully workable and cost-effective solution for software distribution," Leo Baxter, chairman, said.
According to Peter Friedli, managing director, InVenture, the company is interested in strong technologies that advance the development of the Internet infrastructure.
According to the Systemfusion, the money raised will assist in launching Systemfusion's services to providers interested in hosting software applications.
According to Baxter, the company believes it can play a central role in building the hosted application distribution channel by providing an end-to-end solutions that serves the needs of both applications and developers and service providers.
The company`s Evolutionware software automates all processes associated with serving hosted applications, including provisioning, customer management and providing integrated billing services for applications and services such as Web hosting and e-mail. Evolutionware also forms the infrastructure of the Evolutionware Distribution-enabled Network (EDeN), a database of best-of-breed Web-based applications that Systemsfusion is assembling to give service providers an easy entree into the ASP marketplace. Providers will be able to purchase applications in the EDeN network on a mix-and-match basis and offer them to their customers to generate increased revenues, turning ISPs into ASPs.
