Web application management and support services provider Aptegrity, Inc. this week became part of the international expansion movement and opened its European headquarters.
"This is Aptegrity's first step outside of the U.S.," Chris Groff, director, public relations, said.
Bradley Galle, chief executive officer, emphasizes that now was the right time for the company to expand into Europe.
"The UK and European markets have reached a level of maturity where application management is fast becoming a major issue for Web-based business," he said. "The rapidly increasing number of complex, high-performance e-business applications provides an ideal market for our services."
Aptegrity's UK firm opened with two clients, Forte Hotel Group and a financial services firm.
According to Groff, the company is classifying clients as a paying customer. He also told ASP-News that Aptegrity, Inc. is working with a number of other companies, but they have not yet moved past the initial phase.
The company intends to have seven to 10 major clients lined up by January 2001.
Aptegrity's application management services address the full spectrum of application lifecycle concerns, including performance, availability, scalability and staffing issues.
ASP-News first reported word of Aptegrity's intent to break into international expansion over a month ago (see related ASP-News story, Cutler Systems Management Relaunches as Aptegrity, Inc.,June 14th, 2000).
