ASP BlueMeteor, inc. announced this week its decision to teamed up with four top technology players for its infrastructure.
EMC Corporation, Oracle Corporation, Sun Microsystems, Inc. and Exodus Communications, Inc. will enable BlueMeteor to offer its customers a high performing and secure technology infrastructure-including network servers, information management software, Internet hosting and storage services-to power e-business solutions.
Neil Kane, vice president of strategic alliances, believes these alliances will only strengthen BlueMeteor's position.
"Through our alliances with these high-caliber industry leaders, BlueMeteor provides an infrastructure of proven performance and security," he said. He also pointed out that now the company's customers will have assurance that their solutions are being powered by the industry's best technology infrastructure."
Under terms of the alliances, BlueMeteor has become a member of program belonging to each respective allied company.
EMC's Proven E-Infrastructure program allows BlueMeteor to operate at peak efficiency, ensuring that important information/data is highly secure and always available. This program identifies Internet-based businesses that have invested in best practices for enterprise storage to build best-of-breed IT infrastructure.
BlueMeteor is one of only 35 partners out of 11,000 selected by Oracle to join its Service Provider Program. BlueMeteor will work closely with Oracle to promote Oracle's ERP and CRM e-business solutions.
Sun's Service Provider program, with scalable Sun Enterprise servers and robust Solaris operating environment as the network infrastructure for BlueMeteor's hosted services and applications, is designed to allow BlueMeteor, an executive service provider, to offer customers secure, reliable e-business solutions with increased flexibility and performance.
The Exodus Alliance Partner Program will help BlueMeteor to offer customers Internet hosting services through Exodus' Internet Data Centers, including hosting, Internet connectivity and professional services.
With this newly formed infrastructure, BlueMeteor will be able to manage its clients' computer operations through dynamic application solutions, such as its e-Catapult, a suite of enterprise applications software that includes Oracle's Enterprise Resource Planning and Customer Relationship Management; Xerox Corp.'s Document Management; and Novell, Inc.'s eDirectory integrated with TIBCO Software Inc.'s ActiveEnterprise Suite of tools.
e-Catapult allows users to connect to any trading partner via XML and can deliver messages through a browser to any device. BlueMeteor's use of portal technology and messaging systems create a uniquely integrated footprint, making it easy to integrate legacy systems.
