The Software & Information Industry Association (SIIA) is hosting the InternetASP Forum and the Monetizing Digital Content conference concurrently Thursday-Friday at Washington, D.C.'s Marriott Wardman Park. The SIIA is the principal trade association of the software code and information content industries and represents more than 1,000 leading high-tech companies that develop and market software and electronic content for business, education, consumers and the Internet.
The InternetASP Forum features more than 50 executives from application service providers (ASP), Internet business services (IBS) and independent software vendors (ISV) discussing issues in the ASP space including data security, infrastructure, wireless, licensing, market acceptance, strategic partnerships and several others. It is the first event to be held in Washington, D.C. that addresses the comprehensive challenges facing hundreds of high-tech companies as they migrate to the ASP space.
The Monetizing Digital Content conference explores technologies and tactics that enhance and protect the value of online content, featuring keynote addresses by the chief executive officers of The McGraw Hill Companies, Northern Light Technology, PublishOne, and the EVP/GM of MightyWords.com. The conference will specifically address areas such as pricing, licensing, branding, expanding the reach of content and placing that content in a marketable context. Also featured will be a showcase of leading digital rights management technologies from several leading companies.
The ASP market and the challenges facing digital content providers are featured in the SIIA "Trends Report 2000: Six Trends Shaping the Digital Economy." Since its launch in July, more than 19,000 people have downloaded the Trends Report, which is available at http://www.trendsreport.net .
