Allidex raises $3M

Allidex Inc., a provider of IT integration services for corporations seeking to link diverse applications, announced Monday (Nov 20) that it has completed its initial rounding of financing, totaling $3.0 million, led by VC Advantage Limited Partnership and Convexa Capital AS and also included angel investors.

Allidex provides enabling technology, offered as a service, which allows disparate enterprise applications to combine and exchange data. Allidex's Application Integration Network (AIN) service allows organizations to connect separate complex application systems, either within the same enterprise or between discrete organizations, without concern for the underlying infrastructure requirements.

Unlike available middleware product solutions, which require lengthy implementation and costly, ongoing in-house expertise and maintenance, the AIN provides rapidly deployable service, plus round-the-clock support, storage and security, all priced on a per-transaction basis.

Allidex's "hub-and-spoke" AIN integration service addresses the per-integration costs incurred by all integration projects, including dueling infrastructures, software version maintenance, long implementation cycles and manual, intensive data-mapping scenarios.

"The confidence of our investors in the Allidex business model validates both our technology and our pay-as-you-go service approach," said Chad Corneil, president and CEO of Allidex. "Their funding gives us a solid foundation on which we can continue to develop our technology, solidify our operational base, and set the stage for our anticipated future growth."

Allidex boasts an impressive pedigree. Corneil is a former Great Plains ASP architect and current ASP Industry Consortium treasurer, and sits on the board of directors for cMeRun. Among Allidex's directors are Consortium chairman and Citrix Systems chief strategist Traver Gruen-Kennedy; as well as Cameron Chell, Consortium founder and current vice-chair, FutureLink founder, and chairman and CEO of investment bank Chell.com. In ASP circles, these names stand out above the crowd.
