New York Times To Offer PureCarbon's ASP

The New York Times Company (NYSE: NYT) Friday says its penned a deal with Scotts Valley, Calif.-based PureCarbon to sell PureCarbon's JobPlanet solution.

The solution will be sold to the Times' advertisers through its various business units, including The New York Times, NYTimes.com, The Boston Globe and Boston.com.

JobPlanet is an ASP (application service provider) solution that is hosted by PureCarbon that helps companies attract, hire and retain top talent through their Web sites.

"We're committed to helping our advertisers build their employment brands and recruit the best possible talent for their organizations," says New York Times senior vice president for advertising Jyll Holzman. "JobPlanet helps us do this by providing recruiters with a cost-effective way to build powerful employment Web sites. It's an excellent complement to our highly effective print and online products and our job fairs."

PureCarbon - formerly Intralect Solutions - makes a transparent application that allows for real-time Web site building and editing tools, a central resume database and candidate screening, matching and ranking.
