Dick Stoltz, who has been the Santa Clara, Calif.-based company's interim CFO since May 2001, says he'll remain with Exodus as a senior advisor.
"Bill is an experienced and proven leader with a successful track record in finance, corporate operations and strategy," says Exodus chairman and CEO Ellen M. Hancock. "His experience, ability and focus make him a significant addition to our management team. He's the right person to lead us in our next phase of growth."
Austin was most recently with Houston-based BMC Software where he served as senior vice president and CFO. In addition, he led the company's investor relations, mergers and acquisitions and IT operations.
Exodus manages its network infrastructure via a worldwide network of server farms located in North America, Europe and Asia Pacific.
