Diveo Launches Easy Host in Latin America

In response to increasing demand for dedicated hosting services in Latin America, Diveo Broadband Networks, Inc. is introducing Diveo Easy Host, a turnkey dedicated hosting solution based on the Sun Cobalt RaQ server appliance platform. Easy Host is the latest addition to Diveo's portfolio of dedicated and managed hosting services for Latin American businesses.

Targeted to small and medium enterprises that are price sensitive and have not selected an outsourced dedicated hosting solution because of cost issues, Easy Host delivers a pre-configured Sun Cobalt server appliance with support for the leading development environments. Prices start at approximately $500 per month, and the top-of-the line Easy Host 300 starts at less than $1,100 per month.

With the addition of Easy Host to its existing dedicated hosting options, Total Host and Essential Host, the Washington, D.C.-based Diveo now offers three dedicated hosting options serving customer needs ranging from small- and medium-size businesses to complex and customized enterprise managed hosting services.

"For more than a year, Diveo has been serving medium and large multinational and Latin American companies with the upscale Total Host and mid-level Essential Host solutions," said David Rutchik, president of IP Business and EVP Corporate Development for Diveo Broadband Networks. "Recently, many customers are asking for a more affordable, turnkey managed dedicated hosting solution that reduces their required technical know-how, while maintaining the reliability, flexibility, support and infrastructure to launch their websites immediately. We are committed to provisioning a ready-to-use platform in our world-class Internet Data Centers that meets the cost, quality and technical demands of our customers."

Diveo provides solutions in its seven Internet data centers located in Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, Mexico and Miami. In November of 2000, Diveo announced the opening of the largest Internet Data Center in Brazil and the first Internet Data Center in Argentina. Earlier this year, Diveo deployed the first pan regional fiber ring network connecting all of its Internet data centers in Latin America and Miami. In addition, Diveo owns and operates the first and only private NAP in Brazil.

The company currently has more than 1,250 customers, including Carlson Wagonlit, Citibank, Columbia House, Compaq, Deloitte & Touche, EDS, Embratel (MCI), IBM, Kraft Foods, Nestle, Pillsbury, StarMedia, Telecom Italia (TIM), Telefonica, Unisys and UOL.
