Intranets.com Connects With Staples.com

Intranets.com, a Boston provider of internal corporate communications platforms, has forged an alliance to provide Web-based intranets to customers of Staples.com, the online unit of office-supply giant Staples .

Intranets, which migrated its free service to a paid service in July, gets exposure to a key audience -- small business customers spending on products and services for the enterprise. The service is available through Staples.com's Business Service site.

"Staples is a leading player in the small business Web space, and this partnership will expose a broad small business customer base to our product," according to Rick Faulk, CEO of Intranets.com. "Intranets.com will help Staples increase the breadth of its strong Business Services area and further gain customer loyalty."

Intranets.com offers an array of intranet solutions including document libraries, communication tools, polling capabilities, along with wireless access, 100MB of storage, task-management tools and expense report applications.

"A growing number of small businesses are looking to intranets to facilitate collaboration and improve productivity," said Mitch Gross, vice president of business services at Staples. "Intranets.com is a strong addition to Staples Business Services as we work to provide small businesses with a full set of web services, from dial up and broadband Internet access to web design to hosting to e-commerce solutions."

Pricing for the Intranets.com services, which used to be free, start at $19.95 per month for up to four people, plus $5.95 per month for each additional person.
