Andover, Mass.-based apps4biz.com, a provider of Internet-centric business applications to small manufacturing and service organizations, today announced it will start marketing its apps4biz software suite in Europe. The company is launching its marketing campaign this week at Orbit/Comdex in Basel, Switzerland, and ERP 2001 in Paris, and is directing its efforts toward markets in France, Germany, Switzerland and Italy.
The company also announced that it has signed 39 European channel partners to distribute apps4biz.com's entire suite of business management applications that include; manufacturing, sales order management, inventory management, purchasing management, supply chain management and e-business.
Founded in 1999, apps4biz.com provides small businesses with Internet-based industry-specific business applications. The company believes there are several features that make its product suited toward countries outside the U.S. These include; its support for the euro; language versions in English, French, German and Italian and support of up to four languages per application at once; accommodation of multiple taxation requirements; its handling for multiple addresses that aims to assist brokers when moving products through customs; its flexible formatting that handles day/month/year date format; the use of periods, apostrophes or spaces in prices and other formatting options for postal codes and phone numbers.
"Because our product was built from the ground up with global capabilities, Europe is a natural market for apps4biz," says apps4biz.com CEO Mory Bahar. "We see a tremendous opportunity with small businesses in these countries."
According to Mr. Andre Stutz, president of BCD-SINTRAG AG, "We are excited to be partnering with apps4biz.com. We fully expect that apps4biz product sales will comprise 25% of our total business in 2002," he says.
In addition to its operations in the U.S. and Switzerland, apps4biz.com has facilities and offices throughout Europe.
