DevX Launches Rational .NET Portal For Developers

Just like a lot of other companies DevX, which provides information and services for the corporate IT development community, is jumping on the .NET bandwagon.

In a nutshell, .NET is Microsoft's effort to move its developers, products, customers, and services from the client-server computing model to Microsoft's vision of the Web services model.

So, the Palo Alto, Calif.-based company announced Monday that it is working with Rational Software on the launch of Rational .NET Portal, a resource site designed to educate developers about products from that support the .NET platform.

Cupertino, Calif.-based Rational is also a premier sponsor of DevX's new .NET Zone, a specialized resource area on DevX.com designed to give developers with the technical information necessary to make a smooth transition to the .NET framework.

"We know our audience better than anyone and we continuously strive to meet their rapidly changing needs," says DevX CEO Peter Horan. "We are excited to work with Rational to give developers a head start in leveraging .NET technology-we believe this is critical in the fast-paced world of application development."

The Rational .NET portal will feature exclusive articles, tutorials, discussion groups and expert Q & A's.
