ManagedOps.com, the Bedford, N.H.-based provider of Managed Operations services for the mid-sized business market, together with its integration arm The Taylor Group, Friday announced that they have eliminated 18 positions, or approximately 12 percent of their workforce.
According to SearchServiceProvider.com, a TechTarget.com Inc. online publication, the cuts have been made as a result of lower than expected ASP adoption rates coupled with the overall economic slowdown in the U.S.
"Job functions were consolidated across a variety of departments," Company spokesperson Gail Carvelli told SearchServiceProvider. "However, this will not affect the company's ability to service its customers or its partners."
The company does not plan to reduce or eliminate any of its service offerings, and customers should not be concerned, Carvelli assured.
Employees were notified of the layoffs last Thursday and Carvelli told SearchServiceProvider that those whose positions were eliminated received a three-week severance package plus an added week for each full year of employment.
ManagedOps says it will also provide affected employees outplacement services and job training.
