Network Associates Execs Go Euro

Network Associates (NAI) Wednesday says it is expanding its Europe, Middle East and Africa management team with four key appointments.

Joining the Santa Clara, Calif.-based Internet security firm are Barry Walker, managing the United Kingdom, Ireland and South Africa, and Guy Goodman, managing Germany.

In addition, two Network Associates veterans have accepted senior management positions in the EMEA region. Javier Colado will be responsible for Southern Europe, Middle East and Africa, while Paul van Hugte will run the Nordics, Central and Eastern European region.

"The quality and industry expertise these four individuals bring with them puts Network Associates in an ideal position to capitalize on the growth potential in EMEA," says Network Associates chairman and CEO George Samenuk. "As our global customers face new and varied issues in network security and management, they will continue looking towards Network Associates to ensure their networks run smoothly and securely. Barry, Guy, Javier and Paul will help us build upon our efforts in these regions, extending our market position, as well as the relationships we have with both new and existing customers."

The company says the appointments show its commitment to its overseas markets and support for its three divisions: McAfee (anti-virus software); Sniffer Technologies, (network and application management); and Magic Solutions (Web-based service desk software).
