Innes to Head webMethods' Asia-Pacific Operations

Integration software maker webMethods, Inc. has appointed Mark Innes as managing director, Australia and New Zealand. He will be responsible for managing webMethods' sales operations in the region, specifically targeting Global 2000 companies in the financial services, manufacturing, public sector, communications, and transport and logistics markets.

In addition, Innes will oversee the Fairfax, Va.-based webMethods' client base and key partners, including SAP, Siebel and i2 Technologies. webMethods' customers within Australia include Toll Holdings, QR (formerly Queensland Rail), Corporate Express, Victoria Energy Corp., and Dimension Data.

Innes brings to webMethods 20 years of sales and management experience with industry leaders such as Oracle Corp. and IBM. Prior to joining webMethods, Innes worked for Oracle in Australia, United Kingdom and South Africa. His most recent posting was in Sydney, where he directed sales efforts in the financial services, telecommunications, media and utilities sectors.

Since establishing an Asia Pacific headquarters in Sydney in August 2000, webMethods has continued expansion in the region with additional operations in Hong Kong, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Singapore and Taiwan, plus a network of partners in India, Thailand and China.
