Docker 1.6 Coming April 7
From the 'Label This' files:
Development on Docker never stops and the 1.6 release cycle is nearing the finish line.
Some of the big additions set to debut in Docker 1.6 will be a native Windows client. Building Docker images will also get a boost with the ability to building images from an image ID as well as having the ability to impose constraints (memory etc) on images.
Perhaps the biggest change however will be in the runtime with the addition of container and image labels. That's important both for resource management as well as security. With the labels in place an Docker app can be assigned to a specific Linux cgroup.
While release dates can sometimes move, currently the Docker 1.6 milestone is set to debut on April 7.
