Cycore might be based in Sweden, but its North American headquarters are right here in Toronto.

Toronto.internet.com has learned that the 3D graphics developer is teaming up with the Canadian divisions of Disney Interactive and Buena Vista Home Entertainment to co-develop Internet-based rich media solutions for Disney's various e-tailers.

Cycore Cult3D, already in use by such companies as Palm, NEC and CNN, provides low-bandwidth interactive 3D images.

"Cycore is delighted to work with such a great company on such an exciting project," says Bengt Starke, president and CEO of Cycore. "Cycore will work in tandem with Disney Interactive Canada to bring its line of DVDs, videos, computer software titles and e-games within virtual reach of its customers," says Starke.

One of the e-tailers who will be using Cult3D in the immediate future is Canada's Rogers Video. Rogers will be promoting Disney's Toy Story 2 and The Ultimate Toy Box.
