Pilot Joins LINX

Secure e-commerce pioneer Pilot Network Services has joined the London Internet Exchange (LINX), one of Europe's busiest exchange points.

By partnering with LINX, Pilot will expand its level of services for its UK-based corporate clients and for its customers in the United States that wish to extend their operations to Europe.

"We have aligned ourselves with the most important players in the UK to be able to deliver new e-business services with built-in security. Through our partnership with LINX we will combine secure 'dial-tone' with high-performance network services to enable electronic commerce for UK enterprises," said Marketta Silvera, president and CEO of Pilot Network Services.

Pilot connects businesses to the Internet via a network of security centres, using a distributed security architecture and 24 x 7 monitoring by security engineers. It says it provides its customers with "the highest possible level of protection" against even the newest hacker techniques.
