Middle East Interactive Firm Launches New York Office

SYNTAX Design+Interactive, a multidisciplinary, multicultural design and interactive media agency, today announced its first move into the U.S. market by opening an office in New York.

SYNTAX was originally launched in Amman, Jordan in 1995 as development firm, offering Web site and application design, digital and multi-media services, as well as traditional design and marketing communications services.

The New York presence will help SYNTAX reach its clients more directly and take its U.S. business development activities to new levels, the company said.

"We have always seen ourselves as a company that has the potential to transcend our geographic vicinity to operate on a worldwide arena," said Ahmad Humeid, creative director and co-founder of SYNTAX.

SYNTAX's portofolio includes IBM, Apple Computer, One World Software Solutions, Boston International Technologies, Spafax/Aspen publishing, the United Nations, and the European Union, among others.

SYNTAX D+I NY will be headed by Hasif Hijazi, an accomplished marketing communications executive with over 20 years of experience.

"Our decision to open in New York today is a clear indication of the direction SYNTAX is taking. We view this major move as a stepping stone to building a global network through affiliations and partnerships. We have many reasons to believe that our new structure will create a synergetic network that will improve our ability to service our clients effectively regardless of location."
