Systinet Signs CTO

The Cambridge, Mass., provider of Web services infrastructure software, taps Anne Thomas Manes, a Sun Microsystems vet, to lead its technololgy development efforts.

Systinet, a Cambridge, Mass., provider of Web Services infrastructure software, has named Anne Thomas Manes, a Sun Microsystems vet, as CTO.

Manes was director of market innovation at Sun, where she pioneered strategies for applying emerging software technologies to solve business problems. Before Sun, she was a senior analyst with Patricia Seybold Group, where she was editor-in-chief of the "Distributed Computing Monitor" newsletter.

Wendell Lansford, Systinet's president, said, "Her proven knowledge of service-based computing, her involvement in the standards development process, and her practical experience in developing enterprise systems and applications will greatly strengthen the Systinet management team."

Privately ehld Systinet (formerly Idoox) develops and sells Web Services infrastructure software. Based on industry standards such as XML, Systinet's products make it easy to build and integrate business applications over the Internet.
