McShera Joins myWebOS.com

LookSmart veteran to build out site's channel

Ryan McShera is joining myWebOS.com as its new channel director. In his new position, McShera will spearhead MyWebOS.com's strategic business development efforts and expand its channel program.

McShera is joining myWebOS.com, a Web-based operating system provider focusing on delivering business applications, from LookSmart, an Internet search infrastructure. LookSmart's search and directory service reaches over 45 million people a month through LookSmart's partner sites.

At LookSmart, McShera was responsible for building out LookSmart's ISP Program, which during his three year tenure grew to a distribution channel of more than 370 ISP partners.

Shervin Pishevar, president and CEO of the privately held, Baltimore-based company, said myWebOS.com currently offers Hyperoffice 2000, an office productivity suite that includes Hyperword, the first free Web-based word processor, email, calendar, and contact management, as well as other business-oriented applications.

In addition to McAffee, Halfbrain.com and Metier, Ltd., myWebOS.com, located at http://www.mywebos.com, also includes business-to-business applications from dialpad.com, Employease, Inc., On the Go Software, Orbit Commerce, Inc., and Voice Mobility Inc. Capital.
