AutoMall Online is putting together a complete marketing team which, company president Gene Hickman says, will expand the company's " ability to forge strategic partnerships and drive Internet traffic to our revolutionary Web site."
Leading the team will be Eric Jowett, AutoMall Online's vice president for marketing and communications. Jowett spent the past decade working in public affairs and media relations in Washington, DC. In the early 1990s he served as an assistant to the Attorney General in the U.S. Department of Justice, and later moved to the U.S. Department of State.
Most recently, he directed political development programs in Eastern Europe and the Former Soviet Union at the International Republican Institute (IRI), a non-profit and non-partisan organization chaired by U.S. Senator John McCain. In this role, Jowett advised political and government leaders abroad on issues of media relations, public opinion research, and communications strategy.
Under Jowett's direction will be Mike Craig and John Preski, who have joined AutoMall Online as marketing managers.
Craig previously served as a senior account executive with McCaw Cellular, national accounts manager with Sprint, and senior sales consultant with Intermedia Communications, Inc. Most recently, he served as co-founder and executive vice president for sales and marketing of LocalNet Communications, Inc., now known as e.TV Commerce, a subsidiary of Compu-DAWN, Inc
Preski previously served as vice president of business development for Steel Beach Productions, a computer-based training company. Hickman said Preski's original research and understanding of the practical application of technology road maps for long range planning "have continually proven effective" for such organizations as the Department of Defense, the State of Florida, the Electrical Trade Union, and McGraw-Hill Publishing.
Also joining the company is Thomas Woodley, a recent College of William & Mary graduate who will take the post of marketing associate.
AutoMall Online, at http://www.automallonline.com, allows users to view instant online price quotes from over 19,000 dealers across the nation on over 6,000 makes and models. The company also provides a "Purchase Certificate," which guarantees any online price in writing and allows car buyers to validate these quotes with competing dealers.
