Boston-based Belenos, Inc.is opening a regional office in Reston, Va. to serve the Washington metropolitan and Mid-Atlantic areas, and Ellen Birch is being tapped to spearhead the firm's regional expansion.
In her new position, Birch will oversee all aspects of operations in the region, including establishing a permanent office site in the Northern Virginia area and the hiring of engineering and technical telecommunications talent to sell network infrastructure consulting services to emerging service providers in the region. Target customers include telecommunications companies, Internet service providers, application service providers, and other data intensive companies.
The Mid-Atlantic office will be located at Two Fountain Square, 11921 Freedom Drive, Suite 550, Reston, Va. 20190. The telephone number is 703-438-8410.
Prior to joining Belenos, Birch organized, trained and managed a number of teams of systems professionals for several organizations such as Price Waterhouse, Software AG (now SAGA Software), I-NET, Inc, and Renaissance Worldwide. In her most recent position with Renaissance Worldwide, Inc., she was instrumental in opening a southeast presence for the company.
She also is a past president and director, National Capital Area Computer Measurement Group, member of the Computer Measurement Group, and former representative to the Software AG Users' Group
