Astound Inc. Thursday announced a joint agreement with AT&T Canada to provide Web conferencing services to AT&T Canada customers.
AT&T Canada will offer customers the opportunity to try Web conferencing at no extra cost when they sign up for audio conferencing. Existing customers need only register for the service through their AT&T Canada representative. The limited time offer will expire December 31.
"This is the first-time audio and Web conferencing are being offered in Canada as an integrated package making AT&T Canada and Astound pioneers in this market," said Kailash Ambwani, founder and CEO of Astound Inc.
Web conferencing services will be provided by the Astound Conference Center (ACC). ACC integrates streaming audio and video supporting both Real Networks' RealPlayer G2 and Microsoft's Windows Media Player. This allows users to quickly and easily conduct live broadcasts with synchronized audio, video and data.
