BlueGill Opens in Europe for EBPP

Electronic bill presentment and payment (EBPP) leader BlueGill Technologies has launched its European operations with the opening of its new London office.

BlueGill has not revealed its European strategy, but it appears that the company will target specific countries for developing new sales channels, while also launching some pan-European marketing programs.

The new European office will support BlueGill's international partner and reseller network, which includes relationships with IBM, EDS, Xerox and LaserCom.

"Fortune 1000 companies that conduct business worldwide see the benefits of Internet billing, including enhanced customer relationships through e-commerce, marketing and customer care," said Hal Davis, CEO of BlueGill.

"With our strong partner and reseller relationships throughout Europe, BlueGill is in an optimal position today to support the full-service EBPP initiatives of multinational companies."

"LaserCom is looking forward to growing the European market for Internet billing with BlueGill," said Georges Tsitos, CEO of LaserCom.

"We're seeing increased demand in Europe for online billing applications, especially for business-to-business, and BlueGill delivers the best solution in that category."

Ken McKay becomes director of European Sales and Marketing, and will head up the new office.

BlueGill's flagship product is called the i-Series which offers industry-specific functions for billing management, business-to-business bills, statements, payment linkage, administration, e-commerce, customer service, marketing and data management.
