Sage Networks Continues Acquisition Push

Web hosting company Sage Networks Inc. Thursday closed its acquisition of Dialtone Internet's Web hosting divisions, marking its eleventh acquisition since April, 1998.

Sage acquired Web Hosting To Go and T3 Hosting services from the Florida-based Dialtone Internet. Dialtone specializes in Web hosting and maintenance for small businesses in the Linux and Windows NT platforms. Sage said it will migrate Dialtone Internet's virtual hosting customer base to its Atlanta data facility and customer care center.

The acquisition leverages Sage's position in the almost $10 billion per year Web hosting market, said Bradley Feld, co-chairman of Sage Networks.

"The acquisition of Dialtone Internet's Web hosting divisions further strengthens our position as a leader in the Web hosting industry," he said. "The additional customer and reseller base are key components of Sage Networks' ongoing acquisition strategy."
