Wildfire Simulations, Inc., is retaining TrustOne Capital as its investment banking firm. TrustOne's services will include working with company senior executives to refine their business model and to develop a capital formation strategy. The Columbia, Md., firm will also advise Wildfire executives on merger and acquisition and initial public offering opportunities and exit strategies.
Based in Denver, Wildfire builds software simulation programs used by medical professionals for training, licensing, continuing education and credentialing purposes.
The company is currently developing a simulation program for dentists and hygienists. It features interactive multimedia with streaming video, digital images and changing patient symptoms, allowing the participants to be involved in an interactive dental procedure. They are then scored and also receive feedback on knowledge and decision-making skills, such as diagnostic and treatment findings and recommendations.
Previously, this type of testing could only be conducted by observing the procedures as they were being done on patients.
Plans call for Wildfire to create similar training programs for the broader medical community, including physicians in specialty practice areas such as cardiology and neurology.
TrustOne, located at http://www.trustonecapital.com, was founded approximately 10 years ago and offers comprehensive investment banking services to small- to middle-market IT companies.
