Atlanta Web Design Company Purchased by Lightspeed Interactive

arthouse, a Fairlie-Poplar district firm will remain at its Marietta Street location but will change its name and logo to reflect the purchase.

arthouse, a Web development company located on Marietta Street in downtown Atlanta, has been bought by Lightspeed Interactive, a Silicon Valley-based IT and software company.

Effective immediately, arthouse will acquire Lightspeed's name and brand.

"arthouse is excited about joining forces with a superior business solution providers, and I am confident that our core competencies in design and technology will compliment Lightspeed Interactive's business initiatives," Clint Rauscher, President of arthouse and now General Manager of Lightspeed Interactive, Atlanta, said. "Our partnership will further allow our team of creative and programming talent to produce some very forward-thinking designs and solutions--the possibilities are endless with Lightspeed's new XML technologies in place."

Lightspeed Interactive develops Internet software aimed at sales, engineering, marketing, product support and human resources for technology firms. Lightspeed's headquarters is in Pleasanton, Calif.

No financial specifics of the acquisition were made available.
